~Where are you located and do you travel?
I am located in Los Angeles, California and photograph all over this gorgeous state. I also LOVE to travel (I have my passport, too! hint, hint), I have photographed weddings and engagements in Jamaica, New York, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, Kentucky, and of course my home state of Michigan!
~ How did you get started in photography and how long have you been shooting?
“I have always loved photography since I could hold something in my hand. I would always get a new camera every year for my birthday and it started when I was 2 years old with plastic toy cameras. My grandma was the photographer of the family and she was the one who really began teaching me my craft. By the time I turned 16, I began photographing seniors in high school and from there my photography took off, where a few short years later in 2007 I photographed my first wedding. I have been shooting professionally since I was 16 years old so that makes it 11 years so far.”
~ What is your style?
“With fashion photography in my background, I have a very photojournalistic and editorial vibe to my work. I like to document my couples as though they just stepped out of a magazine, but at the same time, I pride myself in capturing those once in a lifetime candid moments that help tell your story. When you look back at your photos, I want you not only to relive your special day, but also feel the emotions that went along with it.”
~ This all sounds so wonderful, but are we going to be able to afford this?
“Absolutely! I have a few pre-made collections available that we will discuss together. You can also ask about customizing your own personal collection that will cater to your needs, personalities, style, and investment range. For my more budget conscious couples, don’t be shy to ask about my associate photographer program.”
~ What time will you begin and how long will you stay until?
“It will all be based on how many hours you’ve chosen in your wedding collection.”
